Positive Employment is currently recruiting for a Financial Administrator for our client a local government organisation in Bristol.
The successful candidate will assist and support the Director of Workforce and Change and Head of Human Resources to achieve the strategic priorities of the HR Service plan and budget monitoring requirements.
Timely provision, preparation, monitoring and analysis of a range of financial information for the HR budgets as per the required financial deadlines.
This role will suit a Finance administrator, with experience of raising PO's, re-charging to different services, setting up invoices and accounts payable experience.
This role is initially a 1 month contract with the possibility to extend. This role will be hybrid working.
Duties and Responsibilities but not limited to:
- Coordination of the administration of the budgets controlled by the Director of Workforce and Change and Head of HR to meet required deadlines.
- Undertake a variety of special projects (relating to facility move, ICT equipment roll out) that may involve internal and/or external research and delivery through the appropriate medium, and liaison with key stakeholders.
- Collaborate and drive compliance of Procurement HR allocated contracts Providers in submitting quality assurance information to the council and procurement, such as through Key Performance Indicators of Social values via the Procurement Portal.
- Awareness of relevant legislation, including statutory and financial regulations.
- Ensure HR information and guidance relating to HR income generation and collection is accurate.
- Amend / manipulate / develop spreadsheets, databases, and other applications to update records and retrieve specific information and to produce HR operation compliance data and reports as requested by the Head of HR or other colleagues.
Personal Requirements:
- Relevant level 4 qualification e.g., NVQ level 4, diploma, degree etc and/or able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge and understanding through experience.
- Experience of analysing, interpreting, and presenting financial management reports to audiences ranging from those with minimal financial expertise through to key decision makers.
- Finance administrator, with experience of raising PO's, re-charging to different services, setting up invoices and accounts payable experience.
- Extensive practical experience of using spreadsheets and financial systems in the manipulation of data to produce reports and finance forecasting data.
- Knowledge and understanding of financial and accounting regulations and codes of practice and their application in local government.
- Ability to use HR and Finance software applications, including the following Microsoft applications, Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, Internet Explorer. Have a willingness to learn new applications and technology as appropriate.
Working Hours: 36hrs / 9:00am - 17:00pm / Monday to Friday
Pay: £22.50 per hr
