Are you an experienced legal professional looking for a meaningful role where your work makes a genuine difference in the lives of vulnerable individuals? If you’re currently in a position that no longer excites you, this is your opportunity to join a compassionate and specialist Court of Protection team that puts people first.

Our client, a respected and supportive firm with a strong reputation in complex and sensitive matters, is seeking a qualified Solicitor, CILEX, or Senior Legal Advisor to join their thriving Court of Protection department, primarily based in Bristol or Gloucester. Possibility of some home working.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle a varied caseload within the Court of Protection, including Property and Affairs Deputyships, Statutory Wills, and Trust management

  • Work closely with vulnerable clients, including brain-injured individuals, managing finances, lifestyle needs, and specialist applications

  • Assist with litigation and contentious Court of Protection matters, supporting senior solicitors and managing your own files

  • Draft legal documents such as Personal Injury Trusts and manage clients’ tax affairs and accounts

  • Maintain regular client contact and attend meetings at clients’ locations when needed

  • Supervise and delegate tasks to junior colleagues, trainees, and paralegals

  • Ensure compliance with SRA, OPG Deputy Standards, and internal best practices

  • Work to agreed billing targets while maintaining excellent client care

  • Stay updated on legal developments within the Court of Protection and related areas

About You:

  • Qualified Solicitor, CILEX or experienced Senior Legal Advisor with proven Court of Protection experience

  • Compassionate, highly organised, and proactive in managing sensitive matters

  • Able to work independently and collaboratively within a supportive team

  • Keen to grow professionally and make a long-term impact in a specialist field
