Manufacturing Engineer - Initial12 month contract
Salary: 49.35 DOE (Umbrella)
Location: Bristol
As a Manufacturing Engineer you will be doing:
- Ensure that manufacturing processes are capable of achieving and sustaining the design definition
- Promote a culture of zero defects and ensure that digital systems are developed and deployed
- Right First-Time manufacturing, guaranteeing product quality and conformity
- Develop, implement, validate, maintain and continuously improve manufacturing processes
- Capture, analyse and use data to demonstrate and improve the current and future capability of manufacturing processes.
Experience and skillset - Manufacturing Engineer
- Professionally Qualified Engineer
- Strong knowledge of machining processes (laser, grinding, milling and EDM)
- Strong analytical skills
- Proven track record in technical problem-solving, along with a solid understanding of Six Sigma / Lean methodologies.
- Proficiency with manufacturing systems such as CAPP, MES, SAP
- Knowledge of coating processes (plating, thermal spray and vapour deposition) is desirable
