My client has experienced a sustained period of growth year on year. 聽They are now seeking a Production Manager on a 3-month contract who will report into the Operations Manager.

Production Manager Roles and Responsibilities:
路Support the Operations Manager in overseeing production planning, scheduling, and daily operations.
路Monitor and ensure adherence to food safety, quality, and hygiene standards (e.g., HACCP, GMP, BRC).
路Overseeing the supervisors for all shifts, ensuring that production targets are met, in a cost effective and timely manner.
路Take charge of all training for all operators on shift, and inductions for new starters.
路Liaise with HR to manage recruitment and will ensure all shifts are staffed to avoid any unnecessary shutdowns.
路Monitor Work Orders and ensure all information is correctly recorded.
路Training - Ensuring Operators are trained sufficiently to achieve competency certificates according to their skill sets. Driving continuous staff improvement.
路Site standards - ensuring all site standards are met and kept throughout all shifts
路H&S - ensuring all staff adhere to the companies Health and Safety standards. Any events are to be logged with the operations manager.
路To follow all company policies and procedures - training and enforcing procedures, ensuring all Operators follow procedures to ensure safe production of products.
路Ensure equipment is properly maintained and report any maintenance needs.
路Assist in managing shift schedules to optimise productivity and minimize overtime.
路Support training and development programs for production staff.
路Help ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
路Support supervisors in completing monthly one to ones with their teams

You should have a minimum of two years' previous supervisory / management experience within the food manufacturing industry, be reliable, numerically sound and have some degree of computer literacy.

The ideal candidate will be of a 'can do attitude' who is able to communicate effectively at all levels whilst maintaining the ability to "muck in" when required.
