Job Title: Process instrumentation technical lead
Location: Bristol
Salary: Up to 60,000 depending on experience
Job type: Permanent
Start date: As soon as possible
Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week
Hybrid - 3 days onsite, 2 days working from home
No travel to other sites is required for this role

Key Responsibilities:
We are seeking a Technical Lead to support the monitoring and management of our client's equipment supplier, focusing on process instrumentation. The role involves ensuring technical compliance, coordination between stakeholders, and maintaining oversight of supplier performance from design through to delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary technical interface between the supplier and the client, providing clarification and resolution for all technical queries.
- Support the Contract Engineering Lead in managing supplier performance, ensuring all activities meet contractual and technical requirements.
- Oversee the manufacturing, inspection, and delivery of equipment to site, ensuring timelines and quality standards are maintained.
- Review and approve supplier technical documentation, including annual surveillance reports.
- Identify and manage project risks, opportunities, open points, and design change requests.
- Maintain and update contract transfer documentation, ensuring clients are informed of all contract modifications.
- Coordinate with internal engineering disciplines to manage technical interfaces and ensure cohesive project delivery.
- Ensure system designs and operations comply with safety, regulatory, and design requirements across all project phases.
- Validate and challenge modification requests to maintain technical integrity and design coherence.

Required Technical Skills & Experience:
- Strong understanding of RCC-E electrical regulations and relevant technical standards (e.g., NFC15-100, NF C 13-200, BS7671, IEC 60909).
- Background in the nuclear industry ideally through education or professional experience.
- Solid understanding of industrial project processes within the energy or engineering sectors.
- Proven experience in reviewing technical documentation and ensuring compliance with project specifications.
- Hands-on experience in instrumentation equipment design, procurement, testing, or installation.
- QA Grade 1 work
