Quantity Surveyor

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join an established main contractor based in Bristol. The business operates nationally and has been building their presence in Bristol for just over 5 years, with projects across the education, healthcare, social housing and commercial sectors valuing up to 15mil. Projects are typically administered via JCT forms of contract.

As a result of continued success in the area, they're looking to expand the commercial team, with an additional Quantity Surveyor to join the team.

About the role of Quantity Surveyor:

As Quantity Surveyor, you will be working within the commercial team on one of various schemes in the region. You will be managing your own project, from the earliest procurement stage through to completion. You may also be responsible for a trainee Surveyor.

Key Responsibilities as Quantity Surveyor:

  • Take projects from Estimator handover
  • Manage sub-contract procurement
  • Manage sub-contractors accounts on site, dealing with variations
  • Manage monthly valuations and liaise with the client
  • Deal with final accounts

Key Requirements for this Quantity Surveyor position:

  • Have a HNC / construction related degree
  • Have administered JCT forms of contract
  • Must have the full right to work in the UK
  • Must live within commutable distance to Bristol and be happy to commute to sites as required.
