Here at Long-Term Teachers, we are seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a wonderful 2 form entry Primary School in the BS49 area of North Somerset from September.

The Role

This HLTA position is to start from September on a Full-Time basis. You will be expected to work in partnership with other Class Teachers to cover PPA lessons.

The Head Teacher is looking for someone who has prior experience working as a HLTA, leading interventions and/or whole class teaching.

You will be expected to:

  • Deliver whole class lessons to a high expectation.

  • Communicate effectively with other Class Teachers.

  • Assess children’s learning and communicate with parents.

  • Have a strong understanding of the KS1 and KS2 curriculum.

  • Build relationships with staff, pupils and parents.
