A forward-thinking and inclusive secondary school in Bradley Stoke is looking for a dedicated Mental Health Assistant to join their team as soon as possible. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in the field of mental health, particularly within an educational setting.
The ideal candidate will have a background in Psychology or previous experience as a mental health assistant or supporting students with special educational needs. You will be working closely with students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, providing tailored support to help them access learning and build their confidence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting students with their emotional and behavioural needs.
- Helping students engage with their learning in and outside the classroom.
- Providing 1:1 or small group interventions.
- Working alongside teaching staff and the SEN department to monitor progress.
- Promoting a safe, inclusive, and positive environment for all pupils.
