If you are looking to make a real impact and have a passion for people, this role is for you. Your new roleYou will be bought in to help set up a greenfield/brownfield Procurement department. This will be broken down into a discovery phase where you will collate all the data and current state of play for procurement within the organisation. Leading into the strategic implementation of best practice, including procurement process, documents, policies and ensuring controls are adequate for meeting the companies' goals and objectives whilst encompassing supplier management throughout. Furthermore, and to finalise, you will support and assist with bringing in the permanent resource to take over the BAU from there out. The overarching aim of the role is to provide guidance whilst picking up any operational procurements at the same time. What you'll need to succeedYou will need to demonstrate that you have worked in a greenfield environment and delivered strategic controls to set up the function for best practice. Working knowledge of leading a department. However, for clarity, you will be the sole Procurement expert, whilst having senior management stakeholder experience where you are able to articulate where you have met company objectives and present successful outcomes. Must be able to offer strategic guidance to ensure end goals are met. The successful candidate will need to be able to run end to end procurements with recent relevant experience across the indirect space. Ideally, you will be CIPS/MCIPS but additionally, time served will also be considered.What you'll get in returnThe role will be 3 - 6 months but likely longer.Hybrid role with ad hoc travel to Bristol. Must be based in the Southwest to be considered.Competitive local market day rate.Determination for Inside or Outside IR35 is still being reviewed. The rates advertised will be based on this outcome; the higher end should it fall inside IR35.
