We are seeking a Part-Time Senior Accountant to join a fantastic firm of chartered accountants based in Ramsgate.  This is a varied general practice position which will offer valuable experience and exciting challenges. Our client is open to candidates looking to work 3 or 4 days a week. Our client is a well-established and market-leading firm of chartered accountants who provide a mixed accountancy service to a range of owner-managed business clients across Kent.

In this role, you will:

  • Plan, prepare, and review accounts, bookkeeping, and VAT for a variety of clients
  • Prepare personal tax returns and corporation tax returns
  • Assist clients with their accounting software, including Xero, Sage, and QuickBooks
  • Ensure work is being undertaken in the most efficient manner
  • Provide ad hoc support to the partners
  • Train and mentor trainees within the department
  • Handle client queries in a positive and client-focused manner
Requirements
  • You will be AAT or ACA/ACCA qualified, part qualified, or qualified by experience.
  • You will have 3-6 years experience within practice and have hands-on experience of preparing accounts and tax work for clients.
