MDE are currently looking for a CNC Miller / Turner - Programmer level, on behalf of a renowned Aerospace Component manufacturer in Poole, Dorset.

With two large UK sites the company are going from strength to stregeth and as such have a need for an additional CNC expert for the Dorset site. 

Your main responsibilities will involve:

  • Programming, setting and operating CNC MILL/TURN Lathe machines with FANUC operating control system to produce turned components to customer drawings and specifications
  • Producing offline and online CNC programs. Knowledge and experience of Edgecam software/programming is an advantage but not essential
  • Inspection of your own work to drawing and SPC requirements
  • General high standard of engineering ability – fully skilled
  • Maintain your area to a high standard of 5C/5S

Your skills and qualifications as a fully skilled CNC Mill/Turn Programmer/Setter/Operator:

  • Completed a recognised apprenticeship in mechanical engineering
  • General high standard of engineering ability – fully skilled
  • Working knowledge of Nakamura machines with bar feed is an advantage but not essential

  • Adept with FANUC Controls and have solid experience in the aerospace industry.
