Overview of the role:

To assist in the development, management and delivery to time and within budget of projects and programmes within the Council's responsibility as the Highway, Traffic and Parking Authority.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • To prepare designs, drawings, technical/committee reports, public consultation material, contract documents, tenders, bid documents, presentations and briefings as required and where appropriate attend meetings with other services, departments and outside bodies.
  • To support colleagues across the wider team in providing professional engineering advice and comments to Elected Members, members of the public, developers and other agencies relating to the Council's Highway Authority functions.
  • Utilising creative and innovative design abilities to ensure safe, satisfactory and sympathetic solutions and outcomes.
