Horizon Teachers are working with an SEND School in the Bromley area that are looking to appoint Teaching Assistants to help cover with staff absences on a long-term, full time basis starting in September 2025 until July 2026.This all through School caters for students aged 5 - 17 that have Mild Learning Difficulties, such as Autism and being non-verbal. As some of the students in this school have challenging behaviours it would be desirable if you have previous experience supporting students with SEN needs, but this isn't essential.Being a Teaching Assistant within this school you will need to be patient, energetic and resilient in nature and be able to be flexible with a positive attitude to create a relationship with the students. This will be a very rewarding role for the right person and will pay up to £575 per week.What the school are looking for in their Teaching Assistants:

Previous experience working with SEND - especially children with Autism and challenging behaviours
Moving and Handling experience is very desirable
Comfortable to lead small groups as well as working 1:1 with vulnerable students
Happy to conduct personal care
Passionate and not afraid to get hands on
