About the Role:

We are looking for a dedicated, patient, and proactive Behaviour Mentor to support students with behavioural, emotional, and social challenges. Working closely with the pastoral team, SEN staff, and class teachers, you will play a crucial role in promoting positive behaviour, engagement, and academic success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide 1:1 and small group mentoring for students presenting with behavioural difficulties

  • Implement de-escalation strategies and behaviour support plans

  • Build positive, trusting relationships with students

  • Monitor progress and provide regular feedback to staff and leadership

  • Work in collaboration with teaching staff and parents/carers to support student development

  • Promote emotional well-being and resilience in students

  • Help maintain a safe and inclusive school environment

Requirements:
  • Proven experience working with children or young people in an educational, youth work, or care setting

  • Strong interpersonal and behaviour management skills

  • Calm, confident, and empathetic approach

  • Ability to remain professional and composed under pressure

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service - essential

  • Right to work in the UK
