A firm of Chartered Accountants based in South East London is looking for a Payroll Manager to join them on a permanent basis. This role offers hybrid working with 3 days per week working in the office. Reporting to the Payroll Director and working in a close-knit payroll team, the Payroll Manager will be responsible for:

  • Training and assisting with multi-company/country payroll operations on Sage payroll software
  • Carry out general payroll duties 
  • Train and develop 2 junior members of the team 
  • Train and keep up to date with statutory requirements of matters relating to the administration of a PAYE scheme
  • Assist and calculate multi-pay frequency payrolls from start to finish, including any pay variables. Access the HMRC portal and download/implement new tax codes.
  • Administer various company pension schemes.
  • Provide monthly tax and NI payments and payroll reports to clients or accountants, whichever appropriate
  • Administer new starters and leavers and process the necessary forms appropriate to this i.e. P45 and Starter Declarations

This role would suit an experienced Payroller who has worked with multiple client payrolls.  It would be beneficial if you have previous staff supervision although this is not a prerequisite.
