An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Paraplanner to join a well-established and forward-thinking financial planning firm based in Bromsgrove. This role sits within a high-performing Technical Research team and is ideal for an experienced paraplanner looking to step into a senior-level role with added responsibilities, career development, and hybrid flexibility.

The Role:

As part of the firm's continued growth, they are looking for a paraplanning professional with a strong technical background who can support financial advisers in delivering outstanding client outcomes. You’ll play a key part in preparing complex reports and financial plans, offering guidance to junior team members, and contributing to process enhancements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct detailed financial research using approved tools and platforms.

  • Draft bespoke suitability reports and holistic financial plans across various product areas.

  • Liaise with advisers and stakeholders to ensure smooth case progression and client satisfaction.

  • Keep all client records, provider details, and documentation accurately updated on internal systems.

  • Perform tax and pension calculations as part of tailored client planning.

  • Mentor and support junior paraplanners while ensuring teamwide consistency in output.

  • Contribute to the improvement of paraplanning processes and ensure best practices are followed.

  • Stay updated with FCA compliance guidelines and internal advice frameworks.

What We’re Looking For:
  • Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning (minimum), ideally working toward Chartered status.

  • Solid experience working as a paraplanner in a regulated IFA or wealth management setting.

  • Proficiency in cashflow modelling, investment analysis, and complex case construction.

  • Strong written and verbal communication with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office and financial planning software.
