Total First-Year Package: £150,000+ (Base Salary £80k - £100k plus Profit Share)

You must have a strong engineering background, ideally in metal fabrication, laser cutting, or welding.

This isn’t your typical senior leadership role. We’re looking for a Plant Director/Divisional Managing Director to take full control of a high-performing engineering and manufacturing site, running it as if it were your own business. Backed by a successful and well-funded group, you’ll have the freedom and responsibility to shape the site’s future your way.

You’ll be in charge of every area: operations, finance, engineering, sales, and people. The site already turns over £1.2 million a month with over 100 employees — now we need a commercially sharp, people-savvy engineering leader to take it to the next level.

In return, you can expect a first-year package worth upto £150k, with significantly higher earnings possible in future years through a generous, uncapped profit share model.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Taking full responsibility for the entire plant, with autonomy across operations, finance, engineering, sales, and customer delivery

  • Leading a team of over 100 people and creating a high-performance culture built on accountability and trust

  • Managing the full P&L, improving profitability, and delivering strong financial results

  • Driving continuous improvement across processes, productivity, and quality

  • Building and strengthening customer relationships while identifying new commercial opportunities

  • Working closely with senior stakeholders in the group while having the freedom to lead your site as you see fit

What you’ll need:

  • A proven background in engineering, ideally in sheet metal, fabrication, laser cutting, or welding

  • Strong senior leadership experience within manufacturing or engineering operations

  • Deep commercial and financial awareness, with experience managing budgets and full P&L

  • Exceptional people management skills — you know how to lead, inspire, and handle challenges firmly but fairly

  • A driven, proactive approach and the confidence to make decisions and stand by them

  • An entrepreneurial mindset with a hunger for growth, ownership, and long-term success
