New Business Development Manager - Manufacturing Sector
On behalf of our client, a leading manufacturer specialising in cable harness solutions, Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS), and precision plastics,I amrecruiting for an experienced and driven New Business Development Manager to join their team.
This autonomous role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on business growth across three key manufacturing areas. You will be responsible for expanding their client base and increasing market presence in a competitive industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate new business opportunities through market research, networking, industry events, and direct outreach
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new clients across target sectors
- Conduct market analysis to identify growth opportunities and customer needs
- Contribute to sales strategy development and annual business planning
- Deliver compelling presentations to potential clients that effectively communicate capabilities and value proposition
- Collaborate with technical teams across production sites to develop accurate quotations that meet customer expectations
- Prepare and negotiate contracts with new clients
- Manage your own workload and schedule effectively
- Production/manufacturing industry experience is essential
- Experience in cable harness, EMS, or plastics manufacturing is desirable but not essential
- Proven track record in business development and sales, including lead generation and closing deals
- Professional approach with excellent representation skills
- Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities
- Strong networking capabilities within relevant industries
- Valid driving license (travel to client sites is required)
- Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously
