Teaching Assistant

Job Title: Teaching Assistant (Phonics, Maths & Reading Interventions)Location: BurnleySalary: £425 - £450 per weekContract Type: Full-time, Term-time onlyStart Date: September 2025

We are looking for a Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic team at a primary school in Burnley. This role will involve delivering targeted phonics, maths, and reading interventions to small groups of pupils, helping them achieve their full potential and develop key skills in these critical areas.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver phonics, maths, and reading interventions to small groups of pupils.

• Work alongside class teachers to monitor pupil progress and adapt interventions as needed.

• Assist in the planning and delivery of tailored lessons to meet individual learning needs.

• Provide additional support to children who need extra help to catch up.

• Track and report on pupil progress to ensure the effectiveness of interventions.

What We're Looking For:

• Experience working with primary school children, ideally in phonics, maths, or reading.

• A strong understanding of the primary curriculum, particularly in the core subjects.

• Patience, adaptability, and a positive attitude towards supporting children's learning.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.

• A commitment to helping all children reach their full potential.
