Ref: YC46580An established company specialising in research and advise on Japanese equities are seeking an Equity Report Editor/translation Trainee.

The Trainee will work and train every step of the way by shadowing and supporting the directors. Working within a team, the successful applicant will gain exposure to a high-level business environment with responsibility from the start. Native level English with strong communication skills is a must. Excellent Japanese speaking skill is also required. This will be an excellent chance for the right candidate to put their Japanese to effective daily use whilst gaining new skills and receiving on-the-job training.TYPE: Permanent, full-timeWORKING HOURS: 07.00 - 16.30 from Monday to FridaySALARY: £27K, A generous bonus will be considered once you develop sufficient skills and contribute to the companySTART: ASAPLOCATION: Burton-upon-Trent, near Derby (The first year will be completely onsite training. Equity Report Editing and Translation Trainee Main Responsibility:

• Researching various markets as well as analysing how each client performs within their market

• Support the editing of equity research paper

• Communicating with Japanese businesses and collecting information on their investor relations

• Developing Japanese equity reports based on research, which will be read by institutional investors

• Training to become a Japanese equity research analyst

• Liaising with data platforms, eg Bloomberg.

• Shadowing & supporting the Director

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to rapidly learn & understand new tasks presented

• Willingness to share new idea and learning

• Strong IT skills

Equity Report Editing and Translation Trainee Ideal Candidate:• Strong verbal & written English communication

• Strong written Japanese skills, preferably above JLPT N2 level

• Strong organisational & Time Management skills

• Interested in learning about finance

• The ability to work cooperatively in a small team & take on responsibility at an early stage

• Being self-motivated, and a positive and open attitude & strong work ethic

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to rapidly learn & understand new tasks presented

• Willingness to share new idea and learning
