Sourcing Specialist – 3-Month ContractLocation: Burton upon Trent (Hybrid)Contract Type: 3 months (potential to go permanent)

An opportunity to join a global business as a Sourcing Specialist on an initial 3-month contract. You’ll support international sourcing activity, manage supplier relationships. Working closely with the Sourcing Manager, your focus will be on delivering compliant, cost-effective procurement solutions—particularly for hard-to-source or unlicensed products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Source hard-to-find products globally, securing competitive pricing and assured supply

  • Conduct tenders and negotiate with international suppliers

  • Build cost models to support strategic sourcing decisions

  • Expand and manage a compliant global supplier base (with focus on US suppliers)

  • Evaluate supplier contracts and identify opportunities to improve profitability

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve supply issues and mitigate risks

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, quality, and internal standards

  • Continuously improve sourcing processes and systems (ERP experience ideal – Oracle preferred)

Experience & Skills

  • International procurement experience essential (US markets highly desirable)

  • Experience in complex product sourcing or regulated environments

  • Proven negotiation and supplier management skills

  • Strong commercial acumen and analytical mindset

  • Confident working across multiple priorities and deadlines

  • ERP systems (Oracle preferred); Microsoft Office proficient

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree-level education or professional procurement qualification (e.g. CIPS)
