Sourcing Specialist – 3-Month ContractLocation: Burton upon Trent (Hybrid)Contract Type: 3 months (potential to go permanent)

An opportunity to join a global business as a Sourcing Specialist on an initial 3-month contract. You’ll support international sourcing activity, manage supplier relationships. Working closely with the Sourcing Manager, your focus will be on delivering compliant, cost-effective procurement solutions—particularly for hard-to-source or unlicensed products.

Key Responsibilities

Source hard-to-find products globally, securing competitive pricing and assured supply
Conduct tenders and negotiate with international suppliers
Build cost models to support strategic sourcing decisions
Expand and manage a compliant global supplier base (with focus on US suppliers)
Evaluate supplier contracts and identify opportunities to improve profitability
Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve supply issues and mitigate risks
Ensure compliance with regulatory, quality, and internal standards
Continuously improve sourcing processes and systems (ERP experience ideal – Oracle preferred)

Experience & Skills

International procurement experience essential (US markets highly desirable)
Experience in complex product sourcing or regulated environments
Proven negotiation and supplier management skills
Strong commercial acumen and analytical mindset
Confident working across multiple priorities and deadlines
ERP systems (Oracle preferred); Microsoft Office proficient

Preferred Qualifications

Degree-level education or professional procurement qualification (e.g. CIPS)
