Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging English lessons to post-16 learners (GCSE and Functional Skills)
  • Plan, assess and record progress in line with college policies and exam board requirements
  • Support learners to build confidence and achieve their literacy goals
  • Provide feedback, guidance, and tailored learning support
  • Contribute to departmental planning and curriculum development
  • Promote safeguarding, inclusion, and wellbeing across the college

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, QTLS or equivalent)
  • Strong subject knowledge of English Language curriculum
  • Experience teaching English in an FE or secondary setting
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills
  • Passionate about helping every learner achieve their potential
