Our client based in Burton on Trent are in the hospitality sector, they currently have the need for a Catering Host to join their team on a full time, permanent basis. The role will entail assistance with food preparation, food and beverages service and maintaining high hygiene standards at all times.
Duties:
- Providing excellent customer service
- Ensuring to maintain high health, safety and hygiene standards
- Preparation of meals
- Plating and service of both hot and cold meals
- Probing and recording food temperatures
- Cleaning meal trays and cutlery in food areas
- Disposal of catering and waste materials
- Completing procedural paperwork to ensure temperature checks are recorded.
The successful candidate will be a team player with excellent communication and customer service skills. Candidates must have basic food hygiene qualification or be willing to undertake training to gain the legal requirement of a level 2 in food safety. It is desired that candidates will have experience of working in the catering industry and have knowledge about food allergens.
