Role Overview
As an Account Manager within our clients Sales Team, you will play a pivotal role in driving business growth by nurturing existing client relationships and developing new trade accounts. While the business operates through a robust online platform, their success is built on cultivating long-term, loyal partnerships with installers, builders, and end-users.
This is a dynamic, customer-facing role that blends sales, technical consultation, and account management. You’ll be the first point of contact for clients, offering tailored advice, preparing quotations, and ensuring a seamless customer journey from enquiry to order fulfilment.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle inbound sales enquiries via phone and email, converting them into successful orders.
- Prepare and follow up on quotations, managing projects through to completion.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers while identifying and converting new business opportunities.
- Provide technical advice and product recommendations based on customer needs and project specifications.
- Review architectural plans and specifications to ensure accurate product selection.
- Resolve customer issues including returns, delivery queries, and product support.
- Monitor competitor activity and provide market feedback to management.
- Support marketing efforts by engaging with customers via social media platforms.
- Attend virtual or in-person meetings as required to support client relationships and project development.
Skills & Experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Confident and professional telephone manner.
- Strong organisational and time management abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel) and CRM systems.
- Self-motivated with a proactive, energetic approach to sales.
- Team player with a collaborative mindset.
- Experience in the trade or construction industry is advantageous but not essential.
