Responsibilities:
- Maintaining bookkeeping records for a portfolio of clients using cloud-based platforms such as Xero, QuickBooks, and Dext.
- Preparing and submitting VAT returns, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
- Reconciling bank and control accounts, reviewing ledgers and balances.
- Assisting clients with their queries on software, transactions, and day-to-day bookkeeping matters.
- Setting up new clients on cloud systems and supporting smooth on-boarding.
- Collaborating closely with internal teams to ensure a streamlined handover to accounts and tax departments.
- Supporting junior team members and contributing to a positive team culture.
