NXTGEN is excited to be working closely with a highly regarded accountancy firm in Bury St Edmunds to recruit a Cloud Bookkeeper. If you're a passionate Bookkeeper and enjoy building client relationships, improving processes through systems and tech, and delivering high-quality bookkeeping for an interesting mix of clients, this role could be the perfect next step.

You'll be working 1:1 with an experienced and down-to-earth Manager, supporting both existing and new local clients. This is no ordinary bookkeeping role - as the second person in the Cloud Accounting team, you'll have the opportunity to grow with the team, climb the ladder, attend events to showcase the teams services, and be a key figure in its future success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the go-to person for clients, answering queries and providing hands-on support.
  • Take ownership of clients' bookkeeping needs, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Support with new system implementations, helping clients get the best from their software.
  • Build strong relationships with a portfolio of local clients, delivering excellent service.
  • Play an active role in developing and growing the Cloud Accounting team.

What We're Looking For:

  • Previous experience in a bookkeeping or accountancy practice role.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud accounting systems such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Dext.
  • A passion for technology and process improvements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-focused approach.
  • Ambition to grow with the role and take on more responsibility as the team expands.
