Traffic Management Co-ordinator

Location: Primarily remote, with base site at Bury St Edmunds
Contract Type: Fixed-term until 28th November 2025

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am - 5:30pm
Holiday Entitlement: 34 days per annum

We are currently seeking a Traffic Management Co-ordinator on behalf of our esteemed client to support a major civil engineering framework. This exciting role is ideal for an experienced professional looking to deliver effective traffic control strategies across a variety of projects. The successful Traffic Management Co-ordinator will work closely with project managers, site teams, and local authorities to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient traffic operations.
The role is predominantly remote, although the Traffic Management Co-ordinator will occasionally need to attend the base site in Bury St Edmunds and other local project locations.

Key Responsibilities:


As a Traffic Management Co-ordinator, you will be responsible for:


路Planning and implementing safe and effective traffic management systems across active work sites.
路Coordinating with local authorities, utility companies, and internal teams to obtain approvals and arrange traffic control measures.
路Supporting site teams with expert advice on signage, diversions, and general traffic-related issues.
路Managing permit and TTRO (Temporary Traffic Regulation Order) applications, including renewals, parking suspensions, and bus-stop suspensions.
路Ensuring all Stop/Start permits are legally compliant and avoiding fixed penalty notices.
路Attending and contributing to weekly on-site coordination meetings.
路Responding promptly and professionally to any public concerns or traffic-related incidents.

Essential Requirements:

To be successful in this Traffic Management Co-ordinator position, you will need:


路A valid White CSCS Card
路Demonstrated experience in traffic management or coordination within the civil engineering or construction sectors
路Strong working knowledge of Chapter 8, traffic legislation, and NRSWA regulations
路Excellent organisational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple sites and tight deadlines
路Strong interpersonal and communication abilities for effective stakeholder engagement
路A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
