Product Development Manager - Bury St Edmunds - 35-40k

We are currently seeking a Product Development Manager on behalf of our established Bury St Edmunds based client.

This is an incredibly exciting role with a brilliant team, suited to a results-driven professional who can identify new opportunities, enhance existing product ranges, analyse market trends, and work closely with key suppliers.

Salary: 35-40k

Hours: Monday-Friday (08:30am-17:00pm)

Benefits: 25 Days holiday+ Bank Holidays, hybrid working (after probation) Free Parking.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage and develop the product portfolio, analysing performance, market dynamics and emerging trends to identify new opportunities and improvements.
  • Lead end-to-end product development projects, from concept and feasibility through to launch, ensuring timelines, quality, and commercial objectives are met.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and brand owners ensuring competitive pricing, terms, and marketing support.
  • Collaborate with brand owners and internal teams to plan and implement promotional, trade marketing, and category initiatives aligned with consumer activity.
  • Conduct commercial and category analysis to inform decision-making, including pricing, margin performance, and promotional ROI.
  • Work with internal departments including Sales, Supply Chain, Marketing, and Finance teams to ensure smooth execution and delivery of all product initiatives.

What are we looking for?

  • Proven experience in Product Development, Category Management, Brand Management, or Commercial FMCG roles.
  • Strong commercial awareness with the ability to evaluate data and translate insights into strategy.
  • Excellent negotiation and supplier relationship management capabilities.
  • Strong project management skills - organised, proactive, and comfortable owning projects end-to-end.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, hands on environment.
