Our client, Bury Council is seeking a Children’s Senior Social Worker to join their Safeguarding Team.

Responsibilities of this role:

  • Assessing needs and managing risks for children, families, and carers.
  • Keeping detailed records and preparing reports as required, including court evidence.
  • Establishing strong relationships with children, young people, and families to provide a high-quality service.
  • Contributing to planning and developing services and policies, and promoting innovative support.
  • Supervising students and trainees, providing guidance to support staff, and developing the practice learning setting.
  • Providing advice, support, and guidance on complex cases to less experienced team members.
  • Developing and implementing support plans based on assessed needs and risks, ensuring a child-focused approach.

Requirements of this role:

  • Must be a Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England.
  • Must have minimum of 3 year's experience working as a Qualified social worker
