Your New Job

We are looking for a Level 3 qualified SEN Teaching Assistant to join the school on a full-time, long-term basis, with the potential to become a permanent position. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate and experienced TA to work in a specialist setting where you can make a real difference.Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting pupils with SEMH and additional learning needs in and out of the classroom
  • Delivering targeted interventions and 1:1 support
  • Assisting with behaviour management and emotional regulation strategies
  • Working closely with teachers and the SENCO to implement EHCPs and personalised learning plans
  • Promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment

What You'll Need to Succeed

To be considered for this SEN Teaching Assistant role, you must have:

  • A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN, especially SEMH
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A calm, patient, and resilient approach to behaviour management
  • A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable learners and helping them succeed
