SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Manchester
Job Type: Full time and part time contracts - term time only
Salary: £90 - £105 Per day (dependant on role and experience)
Job Duties:
- Assist the class teacher in preparing and delivering lessons
- Support students with their learning and development
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Manage classroom behaviour
Required:
- Previous experience working with children or young people
- Previous experience working with students with SEND needs is highly desirable
- Enhanced DBS
Knowledge and Skills:
- Understanding of child development and learning processes
- Ability to build positive relationships with students
- Basic understanding of classroom management techniques
Preferred Qualifications:
- Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
- SEN qualification
Working Conditions:
- Work in a mainstream or SEN educational setting
