SEN Teaching Assistant 

 

Location: Manchester

Job Type: Full time and part time contracts - term time only

Salary: £90 - £105 Per day (dependant on role and experience)

 

Job Duties:

  • Assist the class teacher in preparing and delivering lessons
  • Support students with their learning and development
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Manage classroom behaviour

 

Required:

  • Previous experience working with children or young people
  • Previous experience working with students with SEND needs is highly desirable
  • Enhanced DBS 

 

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of child development and learning processes
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students
  • Basic understanding of classroom management techniques

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
  • SEN qualification

 

Working Conditions:

  • Work in a mainstream or SEN educational setting
  • Primary and secondary school vacancies 
  • Collaborative work environment
