Mechanical Commissioning Engineer - Wales

DMW require a mechanical commissioning engineer for a power plant in North Wales.

Role:

  • Dry commissioning of Main Inlet Valve (takeover from installation)
  • Power up of cubicle.
  • Signal testing.
  • Filling of systems.
  • First pressurizing of HPU.
  • Sub logic testing of HPU and auxiliary systems.
  • Opening and closing time adjustment of MIV, first movement of MIV
  • Seal adjustment, friction band measurement.

Requirements:

  • Hands on experience in mechanical commissioning associated with power plants (essential)
  • OEM contractor experience (essential)
  • MIV commissioning experience (desirable)  

Rate & Conditions:

  • Rate: £45-£50 LTD or CIS per hour + sat overtime rate.
  • Accommodation: Provided.
  • Transport: Compensated 2 hours per week of standard rate.
  • Start: 01.02.2026 (at the latest)
  • Duration: 8 weeks.
  • Location: North Wales.
  • Working time: Monday-Friday (50 hours) Saturday (6 hours)
  • Tools: Provided.
  • IT (Laptop): Provided.
