Our successful engineering client in Caerphilly are recruiting for a Customer Service Executive to join them on a permanent basis.

The Customer Service Team provide customers with point of contact services including initial receipt and handling of sales, product, technical and order enquiries and delivering customers with a first class customer experience.

What you'll be doing:

  • Provide accurate information to customers on products, prices and lead times.
  • Process 'Quick Quotations' for customers, negotiating project prices where required in line with project pricing strategy and suggesting appropriate products.
  • Take every opportunity to turn an enquiry into an order and up sell additional products.
  • Provide excellent customer service by being always helpful and courteous.
  • Work in a spirit of co-operation with all colleagues to achieve team goals and targets.

What we're looking for:

  • Enthusiastic about customer needs and able to work well under pressure.
  • Positive approach and receptive to developing new ideas.
  • Experience of working in a customer orientated, fast-paced service environment.
  • Good negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Good organization and time management skills.
  • Highly detailed in approach, with good problem-solving skills.
  • Good people, verbal and written communication skills.
  • IT confident, with working knowledge of Microsoft Word/Excel.
  • A good standard of English literacy and Mathematics (GCSE or equivalent).
  • NVQ Level 2 and 3 Customer Service training or similar.

Salary & Benefits:

Salary will start at 25,750, rising to 26,780 on completion of probation, and on hitting objectives.

Benefits include 25 days holiday per year plus bank, Pension matched up to 8%, Life Assurance (3 x base salary), Sharesave scheme.

Hours are Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm (with a 4pm finish on a Friday!).
