Location: Caerphilly

We're seeking an experienced and proactive Hygiene Manager to lead and develop our hygiene team within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. You'll play a critical role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, compliance, and food safety across the site, working closely with both Technical and Operations departments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and support a team of hygiene operatives (2 day operatives, 3 night operatives).

  • Conduct regular hygiene audits across all site areas.

  • Ensure all cleaning schedules are followed in line with the production plan.

  • Perform deep cleaning of drains, high-level areas, and site storage locations.

  • Carry out environmental swabbing as required.

  • Promptly address any hygiene-related incidents or non-conformances.

  • Maintain clear and accurate records of audits, inspections, and team training.

  • Collaborate with Technical and Operations teams to meet hygiene and food safety standards.

Skills & Experience Required
  • Previous experience in a hygiene management role within a food manufacturing environment.

  • Strong knowledge of hygiene and food safety protocols, including HACCP.

  • Relevant food safety or hygiene qualifications desirable.

  • Able to hit the ground running with confidence and initiative.

  • Experience in leading, training, and motivating teams across different shifts.
