Estimator - Timber Frame Factory
Location: South East Wales
Contract: Permanent
Salary: 30,000-50,000 (dependent on experience)
Hours: Full-time (40 hours/week) - part-time considered

What You'll Do

  • Turn architectural drawings into accurate, costed project estimates.
  • Provide technical advice and work closely with operational teams to deliver projects efficiently.
  • Take part in design workshops and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor project schedules and performance to maintain high standards.
  • Stay ahead of industry developments and apply best practices.
  • Assist in preparing and submitting tenders, ensuring competitive and accurate proposals.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience in construction or manufacturing, including placements.
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills to meet deadlines.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to collaborate effectively.
  • Confident using Microsoft 365, especially Excel.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to read and measure from drawings.
  • GCSE Maths (or equivalent).
  • Full driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Desirable Extras

  • Construction-related qualifications.
  • Estimating or commercial experience.
  • Timber frame construction knowledge is essential.
  • Familiarity with Bluebeam or similar software.
