LHH is delighted to partner with Stirling Council as they seek a Finance Team Leader. At Stirling Council, our corporate services are key in supporting our organisation and our people in overcoming the challenges we face. We know it is critical for us to build these services to ensure that we have a Finance function with the resource and talent required to help achieve our council's aims and ambitions. Within this role you will contribute to our medium to long-term financial strategy maintaining services throughout challenging times and identifying opportunities that offer the best outcomes for Stirling's communities.

Reporting to the Chief Officer Finance, the Finance Service Manager provide strategic leadership of the Corporate Accounting and Accounts Payable teams aimed at developing and delivering these functional areas in accordance with the Council's strategic objectives, goals and values in a manner that delivers best value. This role will support the provision of high-quality financial management information and provide professional advice to Senior Managers and all budget managers. You will build partnerships and maintain strong relationships with Senior Officers, and their management teams, delivering insight and analysis that allows non financial managers to take strategic and informed decisions to drive better performance.

We are looking for a CCAB qualified accountant who is educated to degree level or equivalent. You will have experience and knowledge of Local Government Finance and relevant legislation affecting the provision of the service, along with professional knowledge and expertise covering functional areas. You will bring your experience of managing budgets, ideally working in a local authority setting, managing people, preparing Committee Reports and presenting recommendations to Committee, contributing to Service Planning and strategic direction of the Service.
