About the Role
Reporting to the Lead Production Controller, you will be responsible for fabricating structural steel components to precise specifications, ensuring that all work meets our quality and safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Follow all company Health & Safety policies, ensuring correct use of PPE at all times.
Read, interpret, and work from fabrication drawings with accuracy.
Measure, cut, drill, and assemble structural steel sections to required tolerances.
Safely set up and operate fabrication equipment (training provided where required).
Handle materials appropriately, including forklift operation (if trained).
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment.
Return tools and equipment to designated storage areas immediately after use.
Conduct visual inspections to ensure components meet EN1090 & ISO9001 standards.
Complete fabrication documentation, including W/O route cards and inspection sheets.
Undertake assembly operations as required.
Maintain IT-based records on a handheld device.
Participate in ongoing training to maintain and develop skills.
Support and mentor new team members when needed.
Carry out additional duties as directed by the employer.

Experience in steel fabrication (preferred).
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Good awareness of health & safety practices.
