Multiple benefits including bonus.OverviewReporting into the CTO we are seeking an experienced and visionary Director of IT to lead the technology strategy and operations. This role is pivotal in aligning IT initiatives with this exciting companies’ biotechnology research and development objectives, ensuring robust and secure IT infrastructure, and driving digital transformation across the organisation.Key Responsibilities
- Strategic IT Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive IT strategy that supports the company's goals in biotechnology research and innovation.
- Infrastructure Management: Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of scalable and secure IT systems, including cloud services, networks, and enterprise applications.
- Cybersecurity & Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations (e.g., GDPR, ISO27001), and implement robust cybersecurity measures to protect sensitive data.
- Team Development: Lead and mentor a high-performing IT team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, operations, and executive leadership, to identify and implement technology solutions that drive efficiency and effectiveness.
- Vendor Management: Manage relationships with external IT service providers and vendors to ensure quality service delivery and cost-effectiveness.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; a Master's degree or MBA is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 7 years in IT leadership roles, preferably within the biotechnology or life sciences industry.
- Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, cloud computing (e.g., Microsoft Azure), cybersecurity frameworks, and enterprise software solutions.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications such as ITIL, CISSP, or CISA are highly desirable.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and develop teams, manage complex projects, and drive organisational change.
