Senior Architectural Technician

Location: Cambridge

Salary:40-47,000

A highly regarded and long-established architectural practice, known for its considered and sustainable design approach, is seeking an experienced Architectural Technician to join its welcoming and collaborative Cambridge studio. With a diverse portfolio encompassing education, healthcare, cultural, and residential projects, the practice is dedicated to delivering work of the highest quality, underpinned by strong design principles and technical excellence.

This role offers the opportunity to play a key part in the technical delivery of a wide range of projects. You will work closely with architects, consultants, and external project teams, supporting schemes from detailed design through to construction and on-site delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare high-quality technical drawings and comprehensive construction information
  • Coordinate design and technical information with consultants, contractors, and internal teams
  • Support project delivery across RIBA Stages 3-6
  • Ensure compliance with current UK building regulations and relevant technical standards
  • Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary design environment
  • Assist with technical coordination and delivery during construction and on-site stages

Skills & Experience

  • Degree or HND in Architectural Technology
  • Experience within a UK architectural practice
  • Strong technical detailing skills and sound construction knowledge
  • Thorough understanding of UK building regulations and construction methodologies
  • Proficiency in Revit, with a good understanding of BIM processes and protocols
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive, team-oriented approach
