Simply Education is recruiting a confident and reliable Cover Supervisor to work in a Secondary school in Cambridge. This role is ideal for individuals with experience working with young people who are looking to gain further classroom experience within secondary education.

The Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for:

• Supervising classes during teacher absences
• Delivering pre-set lesson plans and instructions
• Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
• Ensuring students remain on task and engaged with their work
• Providing feedback to teaching staff on lesson outcomes
• Supporting the school's wider pastoral and academic aims

Qualifications & Experience Required

• Previous experience working with young people (school-based experience preferred)
• Experience in a secondary school environment is highly desirable
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and confidently manage a classroom
• A flexible, professional, and proactive approach

Safeguarding & Compliance

• An Enhanced DBS check (registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply) is essential
• Right to work in the UK
