We are looking for anElectronics Design Engineer based in Cambridge, to joinagrowingdesign and manufacture that specialise in a range of fire detection technologies that are sold all over the UK.

Key responsibilities of the Electronics Design Engineer:

  • Schematic design, circuit layout, prototyping, and bench testing

  • Producing engineering reports and operating manuals

  • Supporting hardware and software engineers as required

  • Assisting the engineering team by validating software, providing inputs to equipment design, wiring test kits, and debugging electronics

  • Conducting analyses on faulty products and reporting findings

Key skills / experience required for the Electronics Design Engineer:

  • Strong general understanding of electronics
  • Experience with schematic design, circuit layout, prototyping, and bench testing

  • Experience with low-power microcontrollers

  • High dynamic range analog design skills

  • Strong NPI (New Product Introduction / Development) experience

  • Proficiency in Altium

  • Previous experience working within and supporting an R&D team

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is beneficial

  • Driving licence required
