About the Role

A well-established firm of chartered accountants and business advisors is seeking a Technical Manager / Senior Manager to join their Compliance department. This role offers the chance to contribute to audit quality control and provide expert technical support across various areas, including financial reporting and ethics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting with technical queries related to audit, financial reporting, ethics, and specialist reporting areas such as pensions, SAR, and FCA.
  • Conducting root cause analysis to identify and resolve technical issues.
  • Researching and summarising key findings on complex technical matters.
  • Reviewing changes to standards and ensuring effective communication across the firm.
  • Providing training on key audit and financial reporting principles for staff.
  • Assisting with the drafting of procedures and policy documents.

The successful candidate

  • ACA / ACCA qualification (required)
  • Practical audit experience, with knowledge of audit file reviews
  • Strong expertise in FRS 102 and IFRS
