Supervisor

PSR Solutions are currently recruiting for a Permanent Supervisor. This will be working for a Tier 1 Contractor within the Civils industry and they are seeking a Supervisor to join their team on their Highways schemes across the South. They are looking for someone who has also go experience with surface dressing, resurfacing and Highways.

Responsibilities:

• You will be looking after the safety and compliance by making sure all safety is enforced and all protocols and regulations are followed. This will mean conducting safety briefs, audits and toolbox talks. You will be monitoring all PPE and ensure the working environment is safe to work in at all times.
• You will be assisting the full process of surface dressing, this will be from planning to handover.
• Organising all the work flow, site surveys, carrying out the designs, risk assessments and making sure all activities are carried out efficiently to our standard.
• You will be leading and managing a team that will be carrying out the surface dressing works, so you will need to always be on hand to support and help out the team at all times and ensure all the work is delivered to the time we have been set.
• You will be overseeing the Quality Assurance on site and doing all applications that are relevant to the project and works.
• You will be coordinating machinery, equipment and materials when required for the works being done on site.
• You will be liaising with stakeholders, project management, engineers, local authorities and sometimes the public. Which you will be providing progress updates, address any concerns and you will be ensured that all communication is smooth and there are minimal disruptions.
• You will be made sure that all work meets or exceeds these established standards with compliance and standards.
• You will need to understand the commercial aspects of the project too. Cost analysis and reporting actual costs to determine the optimal use of people, equipment, and materials to maximise efficiency and minimise waste.

Person Specification:

Essential:

• Previous experience in Supervising on Highways projects in the past
• Knowledge of Microsoft (Office, Excel, Word and Project)
• Flexible with working and staying away anywhere in the UK (When needed)
• Attend as required emergency incidents
• Must be 60/90 Minutes commute from Cambridgeshire
• Knowledge of digital environment using phones, tablets, laptops, and AI cameras
• SSSTS/SMSTS

Desirable:

• Knowledge of special treatments
