About the Role:
This role involves the planning and delivery of engaging, inclusive Business lessons at Level 2 and Level 3, as well as providing tutorial and pastoral support to students. You will help learners develop the knowledge, skills, and behaviours required for further education or entry into employment.
You will be supported by the Assistant Head of Department for Business, Travel & Tourism, who will also serve as your line manager.
The primary duties, tasks and responsibilities of this job role are to; 
•    Deliver high quality teaching and learning to a timetable that may include evening, Saturday and summer periods. 
•    Deliver inspirational teaching and access to learning across a range of programmes and levels. 
•    Provide teaching and assessment opportunities in line with the relevant awarding body requirements to promote access to achievement. 
•    Provide and maintain teaching materials including handouts, assignments, booklists, assessment papers, online resources and upkeep of the VLE. 
•    Prepare electronic Schemes of Work and Schemes of Assessment. 
•    Undertake the necessary administrative tasks required for the effective operation of programmes in the faculty including up to date use of vital and EBS. 
•    Carry out moderation/ assessment and verification in line with college and awarding body standards. 
•    Work with colleagues to integrate English and Maths into the vocational curriculum

Experience:
•    Proven experience delivering high-quality teaching and learning in a post-16 environment
•    A track record of supporting students to achieve excellent academic outcomes
•    Experience as a personal tutor or in providing tutorial support (desirable)
•    Familiarity with a range of assessment methods tailored to varied learning needs
Skills and Abilities:
•    Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage a range of audiences
•    Collaborative team player with a flexible and reflective approach
•    Strong organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines
•    Committed to student success with an inclusive and supportive mindset
Qualifications:
•    A teaching qualification at Level 5 or a willingness to work towards one
•    A relevant qualification in Business or substantial industry experience
