I’m excited to be recruiting for a newly created IT Support Technician job to join a reputable and long-standing Cambridge organisation.Please note this role is based on site in Cambridge, with occasional travel to other sites within the region.Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the first point of contact for day-to-day IT enquiries, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues across the business.
  • Support the IT Manager with maintaining servers, networks, and general infrastructure, ensuring system stability and data security.
  • Install, configure, and update applications and systems, while assisting with software licensing and compliance.
  • Play a hands-on role in IT projects, system upgrades, and new technology rollouts across the business.
  • Train and support colleagues on IT best practices, both informally and during formal sessions.
  • Manage the IT asset inventory and ensure proper disposal of obsolete hardware under WEEE regulations.
  • Provide support for firm-wide events and auctions, including setting up IT equipment to support online bidding platforms.
About You
  • Demonstrable experience working within a similar IT Support function.
  • Strong knowledge or Windows 10/11, Active Directory, Office 365, and SharePoint.
  • Strong understanding of PC setup, installation, and troubleshooting.
  • A confident communicator with the ability to support colleagues at all levels of the business.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle insured for business use.
