Senior Architect

Location: Cambridge

Salary: 40-50,000

A leading and progressive design practice is seeking a Senior Architect to join its Cambridge studio. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional to play a pivotal role in delivering innovative, high-quality projects across a broad range of sectors. The ideal candidate will bring together strong design flair and technical expertise, with the confidence to guide projects from initial concept through to completion. This role offers the chance to take on real responsibility while contributing to the continued growth and success of the studio.



Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and delivery of projects across all RIBA work stages

  • Oversee and coordinate technical drawings, specifications, and project documentation

  • Ensure compliance with Building Regulations, statutory requirements, and industry standards

  • Build strong relationships with clients, consultants, and contractors to deliver successful outcomes

  • Mentor and support junior architects and team members

  • Drive design quality and contribute to the wider studio culture



Candidate Profile

  • ARB-registered Architect with substantial post-qualification experience

  • Experience in defence, healthcare, and education projects (advantageous)

  • Strong design and technical skills with a proven record of project delivery

  • Proficiency in BIM processes; Revit essential

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and client-facing abilities

  • Highly organised with the capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
