Secondary Teaching Assistant - Canterbury

Academics are currently working with a lovely and vibrant SEMH school in Canterbury, who currently have a high demand for full-time teaching assistants. This is an excellent opportunity to join the team of an Ofsted rated "Good" school.

In this role you will be supporting the main class teacher. You will need to make sure that the students feel well supported and are driven towards achieving their targets, motivating them to exceed expectations. The school provides high-quality education for children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health barriers to learning.

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Supporting students who may need additional assistance in the classroom
  • Carrying out administrative tasks
  • Managing behaviour in lessons
  • Assisting the class teacher
  • Comfortable working 1:1 with students
