Are you an experienced and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant looking for your next rewarding role? The school is seeking a dedicated HLTA to join their team from January.

About the Role

As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant you will play a key role in supporting teaching, learning and pupil development across the school. This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident practitioner who is passionate about helping children thrive both academically and emotionally.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading small-group interventions and 1:1 support

  • Delivering planned lessons and covering classes in teacher absence

  • Supporting pupils with diverse needs, including SEND

  • Helping to plan, prepare and adapt learning materials

  • Promoting positive behaviour, engagement and independence

  • Working collaboratively with teachers, support staff and external agencies

  • Contributing to a safe, encouraging and inclusive school environment

Job Requirements

  • HLTA status (or significant experience working at HLTA level)

  • Confident classroom practice and strong behaviour management

  • Experience supporting learners in KS1 and/or KS2

  • A patient, nurturing and resilient approach

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

  • A genuine passion for supporting pupil progress and wellbeing
