Stonemason

Redstone Recruitment are looking for a stonemason to join a busy company, workingalongside a factory manager as a natural stone company.
You will have experience working with stone and kitchen worktops. The ideal person will have hands-on experience working with granite, quartz and marble.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• You will be proficient using hand held grinders and polishers to cut, shape, and polish stone.
• Work with the factory manager to ensure project specifications are met
• Produce stone work tops, shape stone and polish stone edges.
• You will be required to attend site visits and customers houses to assist the fitting team.
• Understand CNC technology (is an advantage)
• Operate an edge polisher 
• Knowledge of templating and fitting (is an advantage)
• Operate a bridge saw (is an advantage)

REQUIREMENTS

• Proven experience as a stonemason with 1-2 years (essential).
• Knowledge of masonry and general construction practices.
• UK full driving license is a requirement
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, and stone masonry equipment.
• Able to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Fair physical strength and fitness required to manoeuvre the stone.
• CSCS Card would be an advantage

Working Hours: Monday to Friday - 8 hours per day. Location: Canterbury
